Move Over Super Models--Off My Cloud!

Here are a few more pictures of me! Everyone keeps telling me how cute I am. What do you think?

Today the foster care coordinator called and checked in on me. I am doing OK in boarding. I still can't wait to get out. I have new words to my song...

There is a castle on a cloud.

I like to go there when I nap.

There is a room filled with a family and other pets.

In my castle on a cloud.

There is a castle on a cloud.

I get to eat good quality kibble.

There is a yard for me to play in

In my castle on a cloud.

There is a castle on a cloud.

I get to sleep on a nice warm bed.

There is the soft touch of my fur-ever family .

In my castle on a cloud.

Check back soon!

My Castle In The Clouds

There is a castle on a cloud,
I like to go there in my sleep,
Their aren't metal doors on crates,
Not in my castle on a cloud.

There is a room that's full of toys,
There are a hundred bones and good kibble,
Nobody shouts or talks too loud,
Not in my castle on a cloud.

There is a foster home coordinator in blaze orange,
She held me and told me a story,
She's nice to see and she's soft to touch,
She says "Wilma, I love you very much."

I know a place where no dog's lost,
I know a place where no one cries,
Crying at all is not allowed,
Not in my castle on a cloud.

Oh, hello again...I was singing to myself in my crate in boarding.

The foster care coordinator met met today and fell in love! I let her cuddle and hold me like a baby.I was very friendly and bouncing, but so lovable and friendly. I let a little girl pet me, when a cat hissed I jumped back. I play bowed all the dogs I saw.

The foster care coordinator was so upset when she had to leave me behind. She said if she didn't have a houseful she would foster me. She told me to be a good girl, eat all my kibble and promised to get me out of boarding as soon as she could.

OK, back to my song...

There is a catle on my cloud,
There is a yard for me to run and play...

Castle and Cloud Dreams,

Wilma

Sad Pointer Tails

Oh, hi...I'm Wilma. I thought I would take a minute to tell you my story.

A family adopted me from a shelter, but they couldn't keep me, they were so sad. They let me live with friends of theirs, but they found out the friends dropped me off at a shelter and I was going to be euthanized. What does that mean??? I have no idea, but IL Bird Dog Rescue said it wasn't good and pulled me from the shelter.

A very nice gentleman came and picked me up from the shelter. He even let me go to a dog park to stretch my legs! That was so nice.

Then I was on my way to my foster home.

I'm a very bouncy playful little girl. I was so happy to get out the shelter! I had a house and yard to run in. But I had to be put in boarding. This is due to absolutely NO fault of my own. I guess the dog at that house thought I was to much puppy energy, after all I'm only 8 months old and I'm an English Pointer that equals ENERGY! But as full of energy as we are, we are also very cuddly and will hang out on the cough with you if you let us.

So now, I'm in boarding and I'm very sad about it. I was told an IBR volunteer was going to come take some new pictures of me. The volunteers at the rescue love my little black nose! They don't usually see that on a lemon and white Pointer. Oh, and I'm not birdie at all, I could care less about birds. So, hunting probably isn't an option for me.

So that is my story so far. I really want to get out of boarding and into a foster home or fur-ever home. Due to high medical bills and heartworm positive dogs the rescue is very low on funds. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and they are all tax deductible as we are a non for profit organization.

If you would like to foster or adopt me please fill out an application. I will require a safe fenced in yard either traditional or electric, high quality food, and a lot of love!

Check back soon.

Sad Pointer Eyes,

Wilma
